GOOD OF THE ORDER:
Prayers are requested for those Brothers and family members sick or in distress.
As reported at the July 23 video business meeting, and subsequent reports:
  • Tom Drygas had knee replacement surgery again on Jul 6, was sent home from rehab Jul 30, still faces a lot of physical therapy.   His cell phone still works – 904-806-0267 – and he appreciates phone calls.

  • Brother Tim Buckley reports the loss of his brother Dan, when Jesus called him home on June 26th.  Dan was a great patriot, a decorated Vietnam Marine, a sponsor to many recovering alcoholics, and a lifelong practicing Catholic. Dan was 75.

  • Brother Greg Meese is going to Shands Hospital Gainesville for radiation treatments.

  • Denny Lucas’ mother is in hospice.

  • Don Fox report: Thanks to all the brother Knights, for enrolling Don in the League of St. Anthony.  As he read the card he smiled, and I know he was sincerely touched by this gift of prayer.  Please convey our appreciation to everyone in the council.  Don was recently diagnosed with Vascular Dementia, as a result of the hemorrhagic stroke he had on March 24th.  It’s a pretty progressive form of dementia and there are times he doesn’t seem to know where he is or who everyone is, but then will tell us about something from the past with great detail! Whether we have days, weeks or months, we’re grateful and blessed. Our very best to all the Knights and their families.   Blessings,  CarolAnn

  • FN Mac McGowan had successful elbow surgery Jun 23

  • Ken Scher underwent a heart ablation procedure, reported to up and around again.

  • Alex and Lee Stamatelos were reported doing better, still independent.

  • Prayers for the health of Fr. Mooney and Fr. Walsh at San Sebastian, Fr. Murphy at Corpus Christi, and Joan Luceri, friend of Brother Steve Barthelmes.

  • Prayers requested for the repose of the soul of Patricia ("Pat") Orsini, wife of Brother Tony Orsini.  She passed away July 23, memorial Mass 11:00 AM on Tues, Aug. 4.

To  add the name of a Brother Knight or family member to this list, please send the information to kofc7121@gmail.com
