At the June 24 business meeting, retiring Grand Knight Bill Remy (left) was presented with a plaque of appreciation for his service for two terms as GK. 
Dave Look (right) was presented with the Knight of the Year award, retiring after 3 years as Financial Secretary and 31 years as an officer.

COUNCIL RECEIVES AWARD AT STATE CONVENTION

Bishop Verot Assembly 0166 Faithful Navigator Mac McGowan receives the Bronze Sponsor Award from the state Ultrasound Initiative for the Assembly and all four councils in District 16 for our donations to provide a new ultrasound machine for St. Gerard Campus.  The awards were presented to Mac by General State Programs Director Lorenzo Rodriguez in an awards ceremony at the Florida State Convention held in Orlando May 28-29.

The ultrasound machine has been ordered and will be delivered to the St. Gerard Campus as soon as installation and training details are worked out.

BEATIFICATION OF BLESSED MICHAEL J. McGIVNEY
In honor of the beatification of our founder, a special mass intention was celebrated by Brother Knight Fr. Jared De Leo at St. Anastasia at 9 am on Sat. Oct. 31. Below left, some of the dozen Knights in attendance, practicing social distancing and responsible face masks.

CHRISTMAS PARTY 2020
was replaced by the first (and hopefully only) Twelve Knights of Christmas Party Basket Raffle Drawing in the Community Center on Dec. 5.

The party basket winners were:

   #1 Party Basket: Jim Clarkin

   #2 Party Basket: Odie Skeen

   #1 Knights Basket: Dennis Glavin

   #2 Knights Basket: Deacon George Murati

The winning baskets were stuffed with various liquors, liquers, wines, and gourmet treats, including a $50 gift certificate to Black Molly:

The big winner from this fundraiser was the council's charity coffer. Net income for the 2020 raffle was $2020.  THANKS to all the Brothers who contributed so generously to fill the void in our fundraising activities this year.  THANK YOU! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!!
